I'm a home body person and seldom taking vacations so when I planned to, I make sure that the place I'm going is one of the nearest in the city. Thank God for Antipolo, it's just a short drive!

Antipolo is one of the best place to visit for your summer getaways or if you just want a stay-cation and have some break from the busy city life. The high terrains, fresh air from leafy surroundings and choices of hotel and resorts that fits your budget and lifestyle are sited in Antipolo.

LOCATION WISE ✔
Place is very accessible. Location is at Sta Cruz Taktak Road, Antipolo, Rizal
Philippines, 1870. It only took us almost an hour to get there coming from Commonwealth, Quezon City but it could be shorter or longer depending on your place and traffic situation.


AMBIANCE ✔
They have amazing landscapes making the resort cozy and an Instagram worthy.

This place also gives you a beautiful sight of Metro Manila cityscapes making you feel instantly refreshed and relaxed.


FUN ACTIVITIES & KIDS' FRIENDLY ✔
The resort has a lot to offer. They have choices of adult pools up to 5ft deep-water, kiddie pools and water park to enjoy. Small chances of getting in to crowded pools, great!

Cottages are for rent and caters different capacities. Choices are picnic tables, casitas, cottage with loft and more.

Guidelines posted everywhere and they have life guards on duty to regulate policies. We are feeling safe, good job!

They also have hotel rooms and suites accommodation for those who wants to stay overnight.


OTHER FACILITIES and SERVICES ✔

Spacious events place for weddings and corporate gatherings.



Day tour and live out packages, ZIPLINE and Team building packages are also available.

You can find other spots like Gym and Spa area, KTV music rooms, children's playground, basketball and Volleyball courts to past time.

They have grilling station in every areas and are free to use but in limited slots only so I suggest you to bring your own grilling materials just incase the place is jam-packed so you won't have to wait for your turn and for sanitary reasons. Don't forget to ask for the equivalent corkage fee of whatever that you bring.


Staffs are approachable and friendly. Special mention to the front desk, thank you Madam and another thank you to the security officer for watching over and in our cars 24/7.

Parking space is enough and free of charge.


Changing areas and shower cubicles are decent and clean. Thumbs up to that!

Competitive rates for a very nice ambiance.

PS: We haven't tried the other facilities mentioned above and the famous Cafe Cristina due to time constraints but surely we will on our next visit. I heard they are serving varieties of sumptuous local Filipino and Italian favorites. What can you say about that?

They are having renovations/expansions going on during our stay - December 2018 so expect some changes or newly developed facilities by this time.

All in all, we had a great time and have so much reasons to come back for. This is another recommended place for those who wants serenity and leisure. Truly Cristina Villas is your amazing gateway in the sky!

Hi guys! Welcome back to my page! How's your holy week vacation? I hope it's pleasant. As for me, I got to spend it with my family in a multifaceted establishment which we're about to feature on our #foodadventure today.

Madcafe facade

I'm talking about Madcafe. It's our first time to visit here on Black Saturday and I must say that everything from the exterior, interior and services they offer are impressive! Here's why.

LOCATION WISE ✔
Place is very accessible. They are at #19 Congressional ave cor Visayas ave QC. Just 20 to 30 minutes away from SM North Edsa or even shorter depending on traffic situation.

AMBIANCE ✔
Madcafe is air conditioned and well-lit. The spaces are uniquely divided according to your preference. They have Al Fresco area, gaming lounge along with the kids' play area, study hall, and casual dining area. 



FUN ACTIVITIES & KIDS' FRIENDLY ✔
YES! They provided Andy's Corner (playground) for the kids to enjoy. Just have them wear socks when playing. Board games are also available and free to use. They made sure that every family and friends can have quality bonding. No wasted time isn't.




FOOD & BEVERAGE ✔
The amount of food is just right for the price. Our orders served warm in less than 15 minutes despite the volume of people coming around. Good job! 

Salted Caramel, Choco Chip, and Sakura Hokkaido Milk Tea. Regular size at 90.00 pesos while Large size is at 110.00 pesos

Nachos at 150.00 pesos and Chicken Adobo Rice Meal at 180.00 pesos

Calamares at 190.00 pesos

US Angus Rib Eye Steak at 299.00 pesos  and every Sunday it only cost 199.00 pesos  for their Sunday Steaks' Promo! Thumbs up to Madcafe!

Cheese Burger with Chips at 190.00 pesos

Definitely appetizing and delicious but a bit tastier than the usual savor so if you are on a less salt or less sugar diet, please ask them if they can reduce the seasonings. I have yet to try that but maybe they can. Just be polite when ordering and giving instructions.

OTHER SERVICES ✔

Staffs are approachable and helpful.

They have self-service area for the necessities such as water refill, utensils etc. so you can get on your own freely without needing assistance.

Better to bring cash because I'm not sure if they accept card payments.

Opens daily but when Fridays and Saturdays they're up until 2:00 AM and the children's area is closed to give way for the Acoustic Nights which is pleasing for professionals' who wants to unwind on weekends.

Parking space is enough. Just incase it's already full, you can park at nearby establishments. Kindly ask for permission first.

All in all we had a great dining experience. Surely we'll keep coming back and recommend this place especially to those friends of mine who loves Instagramable café.

Have you ever been to Bonchon? Based on my research and understanding, Bonchon is known for sharing their famous comfort food, the flavored coated paper-thin crispy friend chicken. This made them popular. Their first store started at South Korea and now expanded worldwide.



Bonchon is a one stop shop. Name it from chicken, seafood, beef, deserts and more. They also serve breakfast. Very good Bonchon!

Now we are going to talk about my favorite meal. It's the BONCHON's Soy Garlic Fish and Chips Boxed Meal.



Honestly, I'm speechless just looking at it. Smell is so appetizing, served crunchy, fish is well cooked, the soy garlic taste is just so perfectly blended and adding a dip is complimentary to the taste.

Crispy Paper thin coat and juicy fish fillet at the same time.

I definitely recommend this if you are looking for an affordable and satisfying fish and chips meal. This cost 175.00 and can pair up with fries or rice. In my case, I'm a potato lover so I always choose fries. They also have the Team Bonchon - recommended for sharing of 3 to 4 persons.

Hi guys! Welcome back to my page! Today I'm sharing with you my current favorite ice cream this summer. If you also love ice creams and looking for a new flavor to taste then please keep on reading.



We know that ice creams are mouth-watering desserts typically served in a cone or cup.

Good thing Selecta Philippines (one of the top-selling Ice cream makers in town) offers quality made of delightful and affordable ice creams. Their recent specialities are ice creams combined with Hershey's chocolates. Amazing collaboration isn't?

So, let's starts drooling onto my favorite Hershey's Mini Kisses Salted Caramel Ice Cream. My husband and I currently obsess with this one particularly this summer as we need something refreshing. Everytime we're at the grocery stores this is the first thing we always look for. As much as possible we try to hoard at least 2 tubs for each of us 🤣😜👍😜🤣 because this is often out of stock. I'm not sure but in my theory, this might be the best-selling variant these days. 



Going back to the product. As you see, Selecta is so generous. The solo pack tub is 100% filled making it more tempting! 



The salty sweet flavor from the syrup and Mini Caramel Kisses Candy blends perfectly. Definitely will savor each scoop.

Are you a fan of corned beef just like me? If YES, then this blog is for you.


I love corned beef since then. Aside from being one easiest to prepare when in a rush, it can also be your daily budget meal best friend (If you get what I mean).

As observed, when we kept eating the same dish every time, we tend to overfed and get bored of its taste. We don't want that to happen right? so I decided to  share with you a simple version of corned beef dish I tried cooking. I'm not a cooking expert not budget guru but I hope this will help you.

How I turned a simple dish into a healthy one?


Here's the Ingredients:
Estimated time of preparation: 7 minutes

Corned beef in can - any brand will do. In my case, I have Pure foods corned beef.
1 round onion - preferably white and chopped in dice.
1 to 2 pieces medium size potato - serves as extender and chopped in dice.
Cabbage - chopped in dice.

TIP: Reheat your pan in low heat while preparing your ingredients to save time.



1. First is to slightly sauté potatoes with pinch of salt and pepper to taste.

• TIP: NO cooking oil please. To keep the dish more healthier, we're going to use the fats that we can get directly from the corned beef. How? Scoop all the translucent white sitted on top of the corned beef once can is opened then use it to fry your potatoes. 

2. Add onions once the potatoes are slightly fried. You will know it when each sides are turning translucent. 

• TIP: This is one of the best way to avoid the onions from getting burned. We don't like that bitter taste right?

3. Quickly add your Corned beef and cabbage then mix well to distribute evenly. Leave and let it cook for 3 to 5 minutes then you're done! This can serves 2 to 3 persons.

OPTION: 

• You can add half cup of water if you want to have a little soup. 
• You can add pepper if you want a little more taste and aroma in your dish.

So here's the finished product of our leveled up dish. I considered this healthy because you have everything - protein from meat, fibers from veggies, and carbohydrates from the potatoes. Healthy on your budget, healthy on your tummy!


There is no right or wrong ways when cooking. Just keep it going as long as you sanitized yourself beforehand, prepared ingredients, take your time, enjoy what you do and you love what you are cooking.
